Researchers from the Beyond Behaviour Change research team investigated changing household energy demand.
Consumer Advocacy Panel
This project developed a detailed understanding of the practices which involve electricity in households with young and teenage children. The relationship between these practices, and other routines and priorities was explored through in depth interviews in family homes during times of peak electricity demand. A national survey assessed the extent of change in family household practices, and the impact on family life and energy demand. The research was funded by the Consumer Advocacy Panel and informed advocacy and assistance to represent families in changes in the electricity market and pricing.
