Defence Civil Engineering Scholarship

Defence offers one scholarship per year to the value of $18,000 to be awarded for up to three years to a Civil Engineering student.

The award is open to all students who are Australian citizens, and who have completed their first year of study and are now undertaking their second year of an engineering degree, majoring in civil engineering.

The program includes $9,000 per semester of study, and an annual work placement within Defence for 12 weeks each year.

All applications will be short listed by university staff, prior to proceeding to an interview with Defence and university staff.

Students will be selected according to the following criteria:

• Academic merit, based on performance during first year of study
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills, leadership qualities, communication skills, creativity, innovation and self-motivation
• Demonstrated achievements in non-academic ventures
