Research Interests / Areas of Expertise
Professor of Quantitative Analysis
Research has been mostly in applied quantitative data analysis. Contributions of a methodological and theoretical nature have also been made, primarily in the area of tourism demand analysis. Current research interests are in the areas of applied data analysis, global airline alliances, tourism demand modeling, forecasting and strategic analysis techniques, and epistio-phenomenological media paradigms.

Measuring user perceptions of risks in the use of electronic banking services. For the Australian Bankers’ Association through the Smart Internet Technology CRC. Funded by Westpac bank: $83,500. February – August 2007. With Margaret Jackson and Supriya Singh.
- Entrepreneurship and Culture
International benchmarking of Australian entrepreneurial activity and cultural conditions. $5,000 from RMIT Centre for Excellence in Entrepreneurship in 2004, and a further $5,000 award in 2005 for follow up research on the “tall poppy syndrome” and its effect on entrepreneurial activity. With Margaret Jackson and Rosemary O’Connor.

Funded by the Department of Industry, Science and Resources: $23,375. 2001

Funding of $10,000 through the Commonwealth Staff Development Fund was granted in 1991. Further funding of $8,000 through the RMIT Faculty of Business Scholarly Activities Grants Program was received in 1992.
