Studying Project Management offers Jessica Borg the opportunity do what she is good at, in a field that she is passionate about.
I am intrigued by the beauty of architecture and the building industry and I love taking on dynamic challenges, so a career in project management is ideal.
“Studying at RMIT has not only provided me with academic knowledge, but practical skills valued by industry professionals, such as effective decision making, teamwork, leadership and communication.
“The Project Management program has strong links to industry, often organising industry nights and providing career information.
“In particular, The Employer of Choice program allows us to familiarise ourselves with potential future employers. We are notified of any jobs that open up with these employers through the student email system which is great.
“As well as this, the lecturers are not only academic professionals, but have real industry experience which they apply to their teaching methods.
“I have been exposed to a lot of opportunities; I was recently awarded the Project Management Institute 2015 Women in Project Management Scholarship.
“I am confident that I am well prepared for progressing into industry in the future.”
