William Crompton's undergraduate studies in aviation have already taken him overseas. With his passion for the industry, the sky’s the limit.
Bachelor of Applied Science (Aviation)
I love what I do because I get to participate in and contribute to one of largest and most exciting industries in the world.
My passion for the aviation industry came from spending time with my father and brother, visiting air shows and plane spotting.
I chose RMIT’s aviation program because of the industry professionals who work with RMIT providing valuable insight and inspiration.
The highlight of my studies was spending time overseas as part of the Korea Aerospace University International Summer Program. Studying overseas was a valuable experience and gave me a global perspective of the aviation industry. I also developed important networks and lifelong friendships.
I currently work for a national Australian skydiving company which is allowing me to gain experience and engage in elements of aircraft operations. The skills and knowledge I’ve gained from my degree have been instrumental to my success in the work place.
Next year I’ll be undertaking a research Masters program at RMIT. I’ll be conducting research into new and exciting areas of the aviation industry, focusing on improving aviation safety standards.
Ultimately I would like to become an aviation safety specialist and consultant for major global airlines and aviation service providers.
