Working as an electrician, Peter Knight decided to move his career into the field of electrical engineering. A scholarship winner, he hopes to work in the power generation, design and control field.
Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical Engineering) (Honours)
RMIT has a brilliant reputation with engineering disciplines.
I was working as an electrician when I decided to study an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering.
I decided I wanted to complete a course that was equal parts hands-on and theoretical. I chose RMIT as it has a brilliant reputation with engineering disciplines.
I have developed strong analytical skills that can be used both within, and outside of my studies.
The highlight of my studies has been winning the ExxonMobil Pro-Vice Chancellor Award in 2014, which is awarded to the best penultimate student in electrical or computer engineering.
This course has been the most difficult but rewarding undertaking of my life and I would highly recommend it.
I am currently running my own electrical contracting business, however after graduation I hope to work in the power generation, design and control field.
I love what I do because every day is interesting and engaging.
