Tailor your study

Psychology is the study of the mind, and at RMIT, you’re given the chance to unpack the science of human behavior in your own way. Our recently updated bachelor programs give you access to new minors and an innovative course structure that allows more flexibility in your study, while giving you the skills to excel in various specialisations.

Career outcomes

Provide support and solutions

Psychology is a broad field with many areas of specialisation including counselling, sport psychology, educational psychology, organisational psychology and forensic psychology. Pursue a career as a clinical psychologist, diagnosing and treating mental health problems, or apply your skills to a range of community and workplace settings such as hospitals, government departments, universities and community health centres.

Global opportunities

In addition to evidence-based learning material, several of RMIT’s psychology qualifications offer supervised work-integrated learning opportunities, including industry placements and internships. You could be gaining experience in hospitals, clinics, health facilities, or justice organisations, all before you’ve even graduated.

These can even include global opportunities. In 2022 for example, a group of Bachelor of Psychology students had the chance to complete an internship in Indonesia, delivered in partnership with the Faculty of Psychology at Universitas Padjadjaran (UNPAD).
