Supreet Sohi has always been fascinated by the workings of the human brain. Since studying psychology at RMIT, her dream is to become a clinical psychologist.
I chose to study psychology at RMIT because of the programs practical education and task orientated research. This helps to reinforce what we study to everyday life events.

The highlight of my studies has been doing real qualitative research for my experiments. An example of this was when we observed people’s behaviour at bus stops and recorded how many conformed to smoking, despite it being illegal at a bus stop. I gained observational skills that a real research psychologist needs.
My advice to future students considering psychology at RMIT would be to go for it! It’s an awesome degree, one that gives you the opportunity to really apply the theory you’ve learned.
My dream job is to be a clinical psychologist and have a clinic of my own. But first I will have to complete my honours and masters before I can get there.
