Rebecca has enjoyed refining her planning, research and policy writing skills during her studies in the Master of Public Policy.
I chose to study public policy because I wanted to do something worthwhile, to help structure and better the society that we live in.
"RMIT sets you up with practical skills and experience that are necessary for the workforce. The staff in the program are very approachable, encouraging and always make the classes interesting and fun.
"Studying online has also been really easy. There is so much information readily available on the course pages and all the tutors respond quickly to any discussion board posts.
"I did an elective course called Program Planning and Implementation for Change, and as part of the International Development stream of my course I had the opportunity to evaluate and critically analyse an international project. I have always been interested in India so I chose the Sardar Sarovar Dam Project, an India Government initiative funded by World Bank, to construct a large hydroelectric dam on the Narmada River. It was really interesting to be able to look at the project from different perspectives of program management and in the process to learn more about Indian politics and customs, and the procedures of World Bank."
