This specialised, intensive studio-based program is designed for students interested in a professional career in the fine arts.
The program is designed to guide you through the complexity of studio practice, through a series of tutorials, lectures and academic feedback.
You will be allocated a senior academic as a supervisor who will provide support and guidance as you develop your project.
Using critical enquiry, practice-based research methodologies and ’thinking through making’, the structure of this program allows you to take ownership of your fine art education.
The program consists of four specialisation plans:
- expanded studio practice (drawing, media arts, painting, video art)
- object-based practice (ceramics, gold & silversmithing)
- print imaging practice (fine art photography, printmaking)
- sculpture, sound and spatial practice (sculpture, sound, public art).
The program structure allows you to develop an individual approach to making art through the exploration of materials, media and approaches, including:
- experimental animation
- gold and silversmithing
- installation practice
- performance art
- public art
- sound art
- sound design
- video art.
