You'll need to complete a minimum of four units 3 and 4 courses comprising one sequence from the English group and three other sequences of units 3 and 4 studies. These sequences of units 3 and 4 must be studied in the same year.
Assessment is by external examination and school assessed tasks. Year 12 classes begin in January.
Full-time students study 5 courses each semester. Each course involves 4 hours of class time and an average of 4 hours study time per week. Units 3 and 4 are only offered on the Melbourne City campus.
RMIT offers a VCE program at Year 11 (units 1 and 2) and Year 12 (units 3 and 4) for those seeking to complete secondary schooling. You must select courses according to Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) requirements and complete 16 units in total.
If you are over 18 and have not studied full-time for 12 months, you are classified as an adult student and can omit units 1 and 2. You may need to undertake preparatory work prior to attempting Year 12.
