You will explore foundational skills in the design, LLN, delivery and assessment of training programs including:
- understanding learner needs
- addressing adult language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) needs
- developing session plans and programs for group-based and individual learning
- understanding assessment in a competency-based system.
You’ll explore the resources and networks necessary to work effectively in the national training system in the vocational education and training sector. You’ll gain access to specialist industry knowledge including:
- training packages
- quality requirements
- the function of industry skills councils.
You'll learn how to design a learning program for particular learner groups and qualifications. Your trainer will model a variety of delivery and assessment techniques and encourage you to develop your own skills through in-class presentations and workplace-based projects.
