With a fascination for science, Adam Violi is hoping to use the Associate Degree in Applied Science as a pathway to a career in pharmaceutical science.
Associate Degree in Applied Science
I’ve always found science fascinating, particularly biology and chemistry. Being able to study biochemistry as part of the biomedical stream of RMIT’s Associate Degree in Applied Science was a big drawcard for me.
“The program is excellent if you want to work in a lab or undertake further study in other biomedical programs. It’s a lot more than just doing pracs in classes – you also get to a lot of work-experience as part of your study.
I’ve been working in a milk-testing laboratory while I study, and it has gotten me to the point where I can run and operate the majority of equipment in my workplace – by myself if needed.
After this program, I’m planning to move on to study a pharmaceutical science degree. I would love to research HIV and possibly even find a cure for it.“
