RMIT Design Archives Journal

The RMIT Design Archives’ award-winning design journal showcases the collections and publishes scholarly research about architecture and design.

Established in 2011 by Emerita Professor Harriet Edquist, AM, the RMIT Design Archives (RDA) Journal was created to advance design research and enhance access to the RDA collections.

Renowned both in Australia and internationally for its distinctive design, imagery and scholarly content, the Journal has been recognised with multiple awards from Museums Australia, both for its design by Letterbox (2019, 2020) and for its educational value (2023).

The Journal is supported by an Editorial Board made up of individuals who possess subject expertise representative across the spectrum of the aims and scope of the publication.
