First Site Gallery EOIs

First Site Gallery at RMIT provides a dedicated platform for students to publicly showcase their creative visions within a dynamic and supportive environment.

First Site is RMIT’s student gallery, focused on presenting art practices from emerging and mid-career artists and designers. First Site provides students with a space where they can experiment, take risks and learn about presenting their work publicly often for the first time.

Exhibiting at First Site allows students to expand their artistic repertoire, gain professional experience and build valuable connections within Melbourne’s cultural landscape.

Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for future programs are open annually at the end of Semester 2, with a commitment to inclusivity. We encourage applications from students across all backgrounds, with a particular welcome to those from culturally diverse communities, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists, LGBTQIA+ practitioners and individuals with lived experiences of disability.

EOIs for the 2025 program are now closed.
