The University’s Risk management policy defines the accountabilities and structures for ensuring that sound risk management practices are incorporated into RMIT’s planning and decision making processes. This enables RMIT to maximise opportunities, minimise adversity and increase organisational resilience.
The University has adopted the International Standard AS/NZ ISO 31000:2009 Risk Management- Principles and Guidelines.
The Risk Management Group has responsibility for coordination of risk management activities within the University and is also responsible for the general management, administration, maintenance and development of the insurance related business of the University and its controlled entities.
