Passionate about public policy and international relations Lauren has dedicated her career to developing strong governance and strategic direction within all levels of government both within Australia and abroad.
In 2014 Lauren was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Local Government Professionals Australia, the national peak body for the non-elected workforce of the Australian local government sector. As CEO Lauren developed and implemented a new strategic direction for the national organisation, which included the relocation of the organisation to Canberra. Lauren was also responsible for developing and cementing strategic partnerships with international sister organisations and expanding the technical advisory and programme delivery capacity of the organisation in the Asia-Pacific region.
In 2018 Lauren joined Oakton Services Pty Ltd (ACT Office) as a consultant/engagement lead to guide assurance activities within multiple Federal Government departments.
Lauren completed her Juris Doctor Degree with RMIT University in 2017. Prior to that she obtained a Master of Legal Studies from the University of Technology, Sydney in 2007, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree (double major in Government and International Relations, and French Studies) from the University of Sydney in 2006. Lauren has also studied French, Arabic and Indonesian.
