Salam’s research interest is in applying experimental methods to investigate cultural differences in consumers’ risk perception towards online shopping and how these risks can be mitigated.
Salam is a marketing PhD student at School of Economics, Finance and Marketing. Salam completed his Master of Business Administration degree from Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi, Pakistan. He carries more than six years of teaching and three years of corporate experience. During his MBA studies, Salam developed his interest in analysing how consumers from diverse cultural backgrounds behave differently towards various risks involved in online shopping and how these risks can be minimized.
Salam says, when it came to choose a university for his PhD studies, RMIT was his first choice. RMIT’s very wide range of programs, very strong academic team dedicated to behavioural analysis in business environments and excellent environment for learning are a few reasons Salam preferred RMIT over other Australian Universities.
Salam is on study leave from Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro, Pakistan, where he is serving as a Lecturer of Marketing.
