Our researchers are striving to enhance food production, tackle human infectious diseases, improve waste stream uses and utilisation, using pioneering the next generation of bioanalytical lab-on-a-chip technologies and are advancing the monitoring and restoration of all aspects of our environment.
We have internationally ranked experts in plant breeding, environmental microbiology, ecotoxicology, vaccine development, bioMEMS, bioengineering and biotechnology – all focused on planning for the future. Whether studying animal disease and vaccines, plant genomics and tissue culture, genomics and enabling technologies for foreign gene transfer and expression, or examining the genomics of contaminated soils, RMIT researchers partner pro-actively with industry to produce results that minimise the impact of land, air and water pollution.
