The Rheology and Materials Characterisation Laboratory is a state-of-the-art facility for characterisation of industrially relevant materials such as minerals, slurry, sludge, food and polymers.
The Rheology and Materials Characterisation Laboratory brings together interdisciplinary researchers from across RMIT University. The facility supports users in the School of Civil, Environmental and Chemical Engineering as well as other schools and disciplines within the University. These areas include mathematics, polymer science, materials science, chemistry, physics, textiles, mechanical and manufacturing engineering and electrical and computer engineering.
Our staff have a strong track record of solving industrial and commercial problems. Research is conducted through short term and long term collaborations with many leading industries. These research and commercial testing projects not only have direct industrial applications, but add greatly to the scientific knowledge base in each discipline. Our research is conducted through short term and long term collaborations with many leading industries, research institutions and universities, both at national and at international levels.
