Based in the vibrant city of Barcelona, Spain, RMIT Europe is focused on extending RMIT’s global reach across research, industry and student mobility.
Our team on the ground in Europe is well-connected with central research and innovation services to offer seamless support to RMIT for European research activities.
We match RMIT’s research strengths and priorities with European funding and collaboration opportunities. We stay informed and engaged with the priorities shaping the €70 billion EU Horizon 2020 research and innovation program.
Some of the research services we provide include identifying research trends, stakeholders and opportunities in Europe as well as assisting with grant applications for European funding.
Fostering global mobility for RMIT students is also at our core, whether it is hosting PhD students at our premises for fieldwork or facilitating study tours and connecting students with study programs and industry across Europe.
We are located on Avinguda Diagonal, one of Barcelona’s most prominent and central avenues, with event spaces available for use by RMIT staff, students, alumni and external partners. We offer modern meeting rooms, well-equipped learning and teaching facilities, and open and informal social areas.
Our location in Spain has evolved from over three decades of RMIT work in the design and construction of Gaudi’s iconic basilica La Sagrada Familia. And our presence in Europe today continues to grow through active partnerships with more than 115 European universities.
