The aim of this project is to contribute to the identification of strategic ways to increase RMIT's engagement with the United Nations' SDG agenda in its research, teaching and industry engagement work by considering the potential for a focused Innovation Hub. In addition to benefiting RMIT as an orgnisation and those working and studying within it, this will benefit society by helping to generate innovative ways of implementing the SDGs within the world more broadly.
To achieve this goal, the project is producing a Concept Note that will provide an overview of SDG initiatives at RMIT, a summary of how other universities and research organisations are responding to the SDGs, insights from literature on the SDGs and innovation, an analysis of different options for RMIT and recommendations about ways forward. To inform this work it will interview key research managers and run a workshop with RMIT and industry stakeholders.
