Darrin Verhagen is a composer and sound designer interested in extending the abstract experience of music into other senses through vibration, movement and light.
Whilst his background is in soundtrack for theatre, dance, installation, screen and computer games, his research explores musical extremes - lowercase sound for his Masters and Power Electronics (Noise) for his PhD. He established the Audiokinetic Experiments lab in 2013 as a facility to unite practice-based researchers from the arts with psychophysiological researchers from science disciplines.
