In December 2021, the College launched its 2022 Career Advancement for Women Program (CAWP). This program resulted from work undertaken by The CoBL Gender Equity and Inclusion Action Plan, Career Stream (GEIRG-CS), sponsored by the Associate Deputy Vice-Chancellor (ADVC) R&I.
The overall GEIRG plan seeks to continue identifying and addressing the barriers to women’s inclusion and progression at the University.
The aim of the CAWP is to inspire, encourage and support women in COBL to reach their full career potential through a series of workshop to assist in long term career planning. Specifically, this program will assist in increasing self-awareness of strengths and development needs that are required to achieve long term career goals as an academic.
Key objectives of the CAWP include:
The CAWP provides three training workshops that will help women academics develop their capabilities in Career Planning, Career Building, and Building a Support Network. Topics/themes include:
