Rebecca Clements is currently a Research Fellow at RMIT undertaking research on two projects; the ‘Deep Timetable’ ARC project focused on a Noongar-led history of railway development in Western Australia, and the 'Impacts of the apartment boom on public transport in Australian cities' project examining parking approaches. She previously undertook a Henry Halloran Research Trust Postdoctoral Fellowship on the Infrastructure Governance Incubator at the University of Sydney, along with several other projects such as micromobility research with the Institute of Transport and Logistics Studies. She completed a highly regarded PhD at the University of Melbourne entitled 'Japanese parking approaches through the era of automobility'. Her research is concerned with planning sustainable and equitable cities and overcoming urban car dominance, encompassing parking policy approaches in Australia and Japan, transport/mobility justice such as children’s independent mobility, and transformative infrastructure governance including decolonisation and accountability.
