Dr Ren is currently carrying out research on on-chip nanoplasmonics in the world-class Laboratory of Artificial-Intelligence Nanophotonics (LAIN).
Dr Haoran Ren is working as a research fellow at the Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence Nanophotonics (LAIN) at RMIT University.
In January 2017 he received a Ph.D. degree in Optical Engineering from Swinburne University of Technology (Australia). His research interests include nanophotonics, optical angular momentum, plasmonics, information optics, and vectorial diffraction theory.
He has published many internationally refereed high-impact papers in nanophotonics field including Science, Nature Communication, Science Advances, and Optics Letters.
In 2015, he was awarded the Robert S. Hilbert Memorial Student travel grant from the Optical Society. In 2017, he received the highly prestigious Chinese Government Scholarship for Specially-Outstanding Self-financed Students Abroad (one of ten worldwide recipients).
