If you have any questions about the special consideration process contact us through the channel below. 

You can also make an appointment with a Student Welfare Advisor to discuss the special consideration process in detail, or for assistance in lodging your online application.

RMIT Counselling and Psychological Services is free for students. You can make an appointment with a counsellor or submit an online enquiry via the Portal button below.

If you see something at RMIT that may lead to injury or illness of a person and/or danger to property or the environment, report it now using the SafetyNow system. 

RMIT's Equitable Learning Services supports students with disabilities, long-term illnesses and mental health conditions, as well as students who are carers.

If financial issues are affecting your studies, you can get support by meeting with a Student Welfare Advisor.

Please Note: This application is only available to currently enrolled students.
 
To be eligible for Student Hardship Assistance, you must provide sufficient information and evidence in PDF format that demonstrate a one-off financial assistance will alleviate direct and related negative impacts to study. 

Applying does not guarantee that it will be approved and, if your application is granted, the approved amount may vary from your request.   

If your application is approved, it can take up to ten working days for the money to be available in your account once you have confirmed that your bank account details in myRMIT are up to date.

The Ngarara Willim Centre at RMIT is an encouraging, culturally safe space for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples to pursue their education, be supported and encouraged throughout their studies. 

Our committed staff will assist you in either engaging or re-engaging with your educational journey, regardless of where you are currently at in your aspirations. This is done with the utmost care and consideration to elevate you and your studies through a culturally informed practice.  

The Centre offers a welcoming environment for students to become involved with personalised academic endeavours such as offering tutoring, connecting with like-minded peers and ensuring staff members are available for in-person support.

The Medical Hub @ RMIT is located at the City campus and offers medical care for the Melbourne city community, including RMIT students & staff. You can book an appointment online on the Medical Hub page.

Bulk Billing is available for RMIT students and staff.

RMIT has a dedicated support service called Safer Community that provides support and advice to RMIT students and staff concerned about sexual harm, family violence, and other forms of threatening or inappropriate behaviour. Please visit the Safer Community page to find out more and contact the Safer Community team.
