Pre-apprenticeships

A pre-apprenticeship gives you basic skills in your interest area and readies you for an apprenticeship.

You'll learn the basics and gain practical experience, giving you an edge when you start your apprenticeship.

Based at our Melbourne city campus, our well-equipped facilities give you access to current equipment ensuring you learn to industry standards and are well prepared when working on the job.

It generally takes approximately three months and you do not need to be employed to get started.

What you can study

Getting a job

Currently, most graduates find an apprenticeship either during their pre-apprenticeship or immediately after. Successful graduates can get credit for up to a year off their apprenticeship.

There are also opportunities for further study at RMIT after you graduate.
