You may have some questions about how the offer process works. We've outlined answers below to the most commonly asked questions.
If you’ve received a conditional offer, you must wait until you have a full offer before you can accept. Once your conditions have been met, you will be issued a full offer.
Once you accept the offer of your preferred program, the other offers will be automatically withdrawn.
Once you accept an offer for one preference, your other preferences, which may be under assessment, will automatically be withdrawn. You may want to wait until you have received an outcome for all your preferences to decide on accepting the right program for you.
Once you have an outcome for your preference(s), it is strongly recommended that you accept your offer as soon as possible. Otherwise, you may miss out on your preferred classes or your offer may lapse. If you haven’t already accepted before the deadline for your program, we will send you a reminder email.
You won’t be able to reactivate your offer if you change your mind. You will need to re-apply for the same program for the next intake.
You can only defer to the next intake once you have accepted your offer. That way, we can keep your place for the next intake. Learn more about deferring your offer.
Once enrolments open, you’ll be able to start enrolling in your courses (subjects) to become an official RMIT student.
We will send you an email with instructions on how to enrol and any enrolment requirements. Your program may require you to attend an information session to help you choose your courses.

Now that you have selected the courses you want to study, the next step is to schedule the times you want to attend. There are 3 simple steps involved:
Refer to higher education class timetables to see when you have to complete each of the above steps. At this point, you may also consider applying for credit, if you have completed previous study or have any relevant work experience.
Visit the Study Support Hub for assistance with a range of topics such as managing your workload, conducting library searches, effective critical reading and note making, just to name a few.
There are also online modules and resources available in the Learning Lab.
