Tanya Unterberger has over 20 years of industry experience that includes modern technologies; since 2020 they have been teaching various IT subjects at RMIT.

Overview

Most of Tanya Unterberger’s professional career, of 20 plus years, Tanya spent in Software Engineering field where she gained a broad practical experience in front and back-end development. Tanya is proficient with a range of databases, from the widely used relational databases like Oracle and Postgres, to the new generation databases such as MongoDB, InfluxDB, Redis, etc. Tanya also gained solid expertise with a variety of languages (object-oriented, scripting, functional) – Java, php, Python, JavaScript, etc. - to produce large and small-scale applications.

For three years Tanya Unterberger held a position of an Enterprise Architect in a large transformational project at the Bureau of Meteorology. During that time Tanya produced solutions and strategy documents covering various aspects of IT – hardware, software, security, messaging and networking. As a large component of the project involved cloud computing, she gained experience with current best practice utilizing cloud infrastructure and services.

Since 2020 Tanya has been teaching various IT courses at RMIT.
