2019 Higinbotham Lecture – Sport and Human Rights: Can Sport Change the World?

RMIT University welcomed Human Rights advocate Craig Foster to deliver the 2019 Higinbotham Lecture, "Sport and Human Rights: Can Sport Change the World?"

RMIT celebrates the legacy of politician and Chief Justice George Higinbotham (1826-1892) through an annual public lecture which explores topical legal issues, in particular, the interaction between the law and society.

Craig was the 40th Captain of the Socceroos, and is an SBS Chief Football Analyst. Well-known for his leading coverage of SBS football. Earlier this year, Craig led the successful international campaign for the release of Hakeem al-Araibi. He is a passionate advocate for indigenous, multicultural and gender equity issues.
