Music with Molecules

Explore the creative intersection of music and quantum science as part of this special Exciton Science × RMIT Culture Salon celebrating National Science Week.

Under the mesmerizing ceiling of The Capitol, ARC Centre of Excellence in Exciton Science's Dr Liam Hall will put on a gig with a difference: helping Liam to bring the music will be a nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometer. Quantum states might sound complicated, but you’re probably more familiar with them than you think… now, we’re set to prove it and get a groove on in the process. 

This one-of-a-kind performance will be followed by an insightful discussion of the science and technology behind the sounds.

To keep the conversation going, complimentary food and drinks will be served in The Capitol’s salon after the event - all attendees are welcome to join!
