Colson Whitehead: Harlem Shuffle

RMIT Culture partners with The Wheeler Centre for an immersive in-conversation with Colson Whitehead.

Head to The Capitol for an unforgettable evening with Colson Whitehead, one of the most acclaimed authors of our era. Whitehead's thought provoking and exquisitely written novels have captured the hearts and minds of readers worldwide, earning him two Pulitzer Prizes for Fiction and numerous bestsellers.

This is bound to be a captivating journey through the world of Harlem Shuffle, the first instalment of Whitehead's new Harlem Trilogy, as he takes the stage to share his insights and creative process. Journalist and filmmaker, Santilla Chingaipe, will lead this engaging conversation.

Colson Whitehead is the author of bestsellers such as The Nickle Boys and The Underground Railroad. Colson is one of only four writers to have won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction twice. His latest novel, Harlem Shuffle, is the first book in a genre-bending family saga that incorporates elements of crime, morality, social commentary, and a tribute to Harlem.

This event is presented in collaboration with The Wheeler's Centre and supported by the Melbourne City Revitalisation Fund, a Victorian Government and City of Melbourne partnership.
