Activator’s eighth LaunchHUB – meet the startups

Activator is excited to welcome nine new teams to our flagship LaunchHUB pre-accelerator program.

After a wildly successful pivot to online delivery this year, Activator will continue to work virtually with the new startup teams to achieve product market fit and unlock entrepreneurial success.

This cohort is the first to be onboarded onto Accelerator App, a centralised platform that Activator is using to manage the program.

Activator also welcomed Ben Sandhu – LaunchHUB alumni and co-founder of Ida Sports – as the program’s Lead Startup Coach.

“Being a founder myself who has been through the program, I know first-hand just how transformational LaunchHUB can be for these startups,” said Ben.

“By bringing my practical, product-led experience to the table, I hope the teams will gain a lot out of the program and go on to bigger and better things.”

“It's a hectic 12 weeks, but the teams will benefit from some world-class mentoring and amazing guest speakers to propel them on their journey.”

Returning as our beloved startup coaches are Darren Sutton (The Common Purpose Collective), James Lolicato (Pride Cup Australia) and Ian Wong (Vice President, Circular Economy Victoria).

Upon completion of the program, startups teams will have the chance to pitch for pre-seed loans of up to $25,000 from the Activator Capital Fund.

“I am so impressed with the rise in applications that focus on social impact,” said April Bjork, Program Delivery Lead at Activator.

“Seeing our startups responding to the effects of the current pandemic and the devastating bushfires has been inspiring during what is for many, a very challenging time.”
