What you will study

Project Management Concepts (Semester 1)

Available for study on campus

This course will equip you with an understanding of foundational project management concepts, terms and activities. It examines the nature of projects, the need to manage projects and the scope of modern Project Management. Key focus is given to examining the role of projects in construction, property and twenty-first century organisations and the particular activities undertaken to plan a project. The role and responsibilities of a project manager are also covered.

Techniques for Project Planning and Management (Semester 2)

Available for study on campus

This course provides you with essential techniques for planning and managing projects. This course encourages you to apply logical, critical and creative thinking to analyse, and synthesise theoretical knowledge, and technical skills, to form evidence-based solutions to problems or issues. Topics covered include; specifying project scope, developing a project plan and resource, time and cost management methods.

Entry requirements

You must be in your final year of your VCE studies.

Acceptance into this course requires a recommendation from your Year 12 coordinator and your school principal. Parental/guardian permission is also necessary.
