Hydrogen House @ RMIT

Australia clearly sees the importance of the hydrogen economy with Federal and State Governments establishing frameworks to make it a reality: see for example Australia's National Hydrogen Strategy, the Victorian Renewable Hydrogen Industry Development Plan and the Regional Hydrogen Clusters.

With over two decades of experience, researchers in the Sustainable Hydrogen Energy Laboratory (SHEL) Group at RMIT University have developed a wide range of capabilities that can support the development of a hydrogen economy in Australia. Following this vision, the key objectives of this workshop are to:

  • be briefed on the current hydrogen ecosystem in Australia
  • review recent hydrogen development plans and the future direction of hydrogen in Australia
  • review hydrogen capabilities in RMIT's STEM College and explore how RMIT can meaningfully contribute to Australia's hydrogen economy
