A public roundtable event presented by the EU Centre at RMIT in conjunction with the Alliance Française de Melbourne.
For 60 years, France has been central to promoting the vision and implementation of a peaceful and consolidated Europe. Now caught up in the European fiscal crisis, France’s role in Europe and in the world has become the subject of considerable debate. How will France, with a new President, respond to this situation? What can Australians and the rest of the world expect from France in the next few years?
This event will explore these issues, led by insights from the French Ambassador to Australia, His Excellency Stéphane Romatet, and a number of other speakers. Different perspectives will be presented on the crucial issues which face France, Europe and Australia in the next few years. We look forward to your participation.
- His Excellency Stéphane Romatet, Ambassador of France to Australia
- Professor Douglas Webber, International Business School, INSEAD
- Mrs Myriam Boisbouvier-Wylie, Honorary Consul General of France
- Mr Gilbert Ducasse, President Alliance Françaice Melbourne.
