Polar Patterns is a group exhibition curated by Dr Philip Samartzis designed to articulate the eco-acoustic characteristics and atmospheric effects that dynamically pervade Antarctica.
Thursday 9 February 2017 1–4pm
A symposium exploring the various ways in which artists have responded to issues shaping Antarctica and its surrounding environs. The symposium will feature presentations by David Burrows, Anne Noble and Anna Brown, and Philip Samartzis, who will draw on their experiences and knowledge of the frozen continent through their participation in the Australian, New Zealand and US Antarctic arts and science programs.
