Australian Gender Economics Workshop (AGEW2019)
Event cancelled
RMIT University, in partnership with the Women in Economics Network (WEN), is proud to host the second Australian Gender Economics Workshop (AGEW2019) in Melbourne, Australia, on 13-15 February 2019.
The aim of AGEW2019 is to foster a community of economic researchers who can collectively contribute to the high quality evidence base needed to guide the pursuit of more gender equitable outcomes in society.
In addition to a program of research papers and keynote addresses, the AGEW2019 Policy Symposium on the topic 'How can economics contribute to gender equity?' will draw together the insights and implications delivered by the research papers and provide an opportunity for participants to converse directly with our guests panellists from policy, government and industry. The Gender Lensing Masterclass will demonstrate an applied analysis of how budgetary and other economic policy settings can be unintentionally gender-patterned in their impact and incentive effects. The event also offers an Academic Career Development Session for early/mid career female academics in economics.
