Jenny Watson is a major figure in contemporary art whose work continues to command an international audience engages by its freshness, gentle humour and eloquence.

This selection of works on fabric recall times past. Watson’s works are drawn from images of her life and from her dreams.
Her unconventional approach to painting combines colour, text, figures and recurring motifs, to create a meaningful narrative.
The combination of images and text encourages the viewer to draw their own conclusions from the disparate pairings Watson offers.
Getting there
The gallery is located diagonally opposite Melbourne Central Railway Station and can be reached by trams traveling on Swanston and La Trobe Streets, including the City Circle Tram.
