Join us to celebrate the work of the 2015 Diploma of Textile Design and Development graduates and explore the innovative techniques and bold designs of their knitted, woven and printed works.
Textiles have been an integral part of human civilisation for as long as we have existed yet how often do we take the time to ponder and appreciate this practice that is so deeply entwined in our way of being? Immersed as we are in fibres and cloths in our everyday life, the craftsmanship and beauty that go into their production are often overlooked.
The exhibition underOVER showcases just what the Diploma students of RMIT's Textile Design and Development have been doing relentlessly for the past two years, in pursuing the craftsmanship that goes into the production of textiles. Come and explore the painstaking, delicate, innovative techniques and bold designs of the knitted, woven and printed works as they traverse through formats of art, fashion and industrial design in this truly unique exhibition from the next generation of emerging textile designers.
We warmly welcome you on Wednesday 25 November, 6 pm – 8 pm, to the RMIT Campus Gallery at Brunswick Campus (Building 516, Level 2, Room 1). Drinks and nibbles will be provided.
