RMIT is proud to host this free presentation by Babette Rothschild, a world renowned expert in trauma recovery.
This public lecture will draw from research discussing the prominent risks to health professionals’ wellbeing when working with individuals with a trauma background. Risk factors of compassion fatigue, burnout and vicarious trauma will be explored along with self-care strategies to equip health professionals with the necessary tools to continue providing effective support.
Babette, bestselling author of “The Body Remembers” and "Help for the Helper: Self-Care Strategies for Managing Burnout and Stress", is visiting Melbourne as part of her 2015 Asia Pacific Tour.
