Meet celebrated Indian architect Bijoy Jain from Studio Mumbai as he takes audiences through his exhibition Bijoy Jain Studio Mumbai: Making MPavilion 2016.
Don't miss the opportunity to explore the architecture and design exhibition Bijoy Jain Studio Mumbai: Making MPavilion 2016 with the architect himself. In this special floor talk, Bijoy Jain will share his extensive processes of designing, making models, studying materials and compiling sketches.
He will also explain the concept of ‘lore’ – the way in which traditions and knowledge are passed on by word of mouth.Central to his practice and philosophy, the concept is also a guiding principle that underpins all of Studio Mumbai projects.
The exhibition showcases the process models, material samples, sketch books and texts used in the 2016 MPavilion design and construction, including images of the work in progress in India by Sydney photographer Nick Watt.
The exhibition also coincides with the launch of the annual MPavilion for the Queen Victoria Gardens, commissioned by The Naomi Milgrom Foundation.
