With a focus on Woodside Energy, this talk will give an overview of how geospatial science and technologies are applied across the hydrocarbon exploration and production lifecycle.
Geospatial Science and Technologies are critical within the oil and gas industry.
Inspecting pipelines, positioning new infrastructure, assessing new exploration opportunities and understanding real-time vessel movement requires thoughtful application of spatial theory and technology.
Those with an interest in innovative Geospatial Science and Technologies use cases, as well as those looking to improve their knowledge of career opportunities in the oil and gas industry will find this presentation enlightening.
Topics covered include an introduction to the exploration and production value chain and where within this process survey operations and Geospatial Science and Technologies are used at Woodside.
- Four of these areas will then be covered in more detail:
- Geospatial data and analysis for exploration activities
- Data visualisation for project development
- GIS integration with artificial intelligence
- Geospatial support to emergency response activities
