Bachelor of Interior Design (Honours) students are hosting a huge night of music as a fundraiser to support INDEX their 2017 graduate exhibition.
The INDEX 2017 Fundraising Gig will be held at the renowned Brunswick venue Howler with a lineup bursting with incredible local talent including:
- SPIRALS featuring Rara Zulu
- YOUNG HYSTERIA
- TRAM COPS
Headlining the evening is SPIRALS, the producer duo originally from Sydney. They exhibit a genre spanning sound weaving jazz, Latin and otherworldly elements with hip-hop and future bass production. The two create a unique sound that delivers chin-stroke complexity and dance floor action in equal measure. Their set will be accompanied for the first time by the live local talents of the luscious and upcoming Rara Zulu.
Our main support for the evening will be the much acclaimed Young Hysteria, an avant-garde pop band that will take you on an emotional, cinematic journey with their lo-fi, electronic, dream-pop sounds. Our other acts include Plotz, who will be sure to spin you into a psychedelic, garage, pop smoothie, and the dreamy, feel good five-piece band, Tram Cops (who are humans that check the validity of your ticket on public transport) and who are, coincidentally, also releasing their debut album this year.
The INDEX exhibition provides a public expression of ideas that have shaped the interior design program at RMIT University. Students collaborate with staff, graphic designers, builders and lighting professionals to plan, design, build and curate the exhibition and a five day program of public events.
