The Exchange at Knowledge Market will join in the fun of Docklands Sunday Streets on 26 November for a kite making workshop and parade.
Sunday Streets is part of a pilot event being run by the City of Melbourne to activate local spaces and encourage people to meet their neighbours in a fun and friendly environment.
You can make a kite at our stand from 1–3pm (all materials provided). A community parade featuring kites and other colourful creations will take place from 3.15pm. During this process, our researchers will chat with kite makers about the environments in the Docklands.
The kite making workshop is part of a 12 month research project, The Exchange at Knowledge Market, looking at different ways to prototype urban futures and community engagement in the Docklands. The Knowledge Market is being curated through a series of events, workshops and discussions by RMIT University in partnership with Lendlease.
The Exchange project is supported by a capability development fund grant from the RMIT Design and Creative Practice Enabling Capability Platform (ECP).
