This workshop will provide HR practitioners with insight into cutting-edge mental illness and self-care research findings.
Attendees will gain a better understanding to identify, support and manage mental health challenges in their workplace, along with strategies to reduce the impact of mental illness on business.
The workshop component will be facilitated by Professor Timothy Bartram from the RMIT School of Management, with a focus on how HR practitioners can support employees with metal health issues and tackle broader inclusion and diversity workplace challenges.
Attendees will have the opportunity to share their own experiences in order to gain insight from the industry panel members around key emergent management practices and responses on the topic.

Professor Johan Wiklund, RMIT Fulbright Scholar and Professor of Entrepreneurship at Syracuse University.
Professor Wiklund is a leading authority in entrepreneurship research. He will discuss how mental health issues and entrepreneurial traits intersect, and how his key research findings into mental illness can be used to deliver positive business outcomes.
Dr Louise Byrne, Postdoctoral Fellow in the School of Management at RMIT University.
Dr Byrne will share her personal experience dealing with a mental illness and the outcomes of her work within the mental health sector to reduce stigma and increase support among the community.
