Key Program Dates

Since Victoria moved into Stage 3, where gatherings have been restricted to no more than 2, people Activator has fully shifted LaunchHUB program to virtual delivery.

The program has worked hard to maintain a strong sense of community and has introduced new elements enabled by selected technology stack. As restrictions scale back to Stage 2 – 1, we will operate in line with the university’s approach as per government guidelines and will cautiously introduce relevant face-to-face offerings while adhering to social distancing guidelines.

Yes. Not only we have adapted to virtual delivery since March 2020, we have also tightened the focus of the program so that we can best support you at this crucial stage of your startup journey.

This program is free! The university is committed to developing an entrepreneurial culture and supporting enterprise development amongst the Activator community.

Selected teams are expected to dedicate at least 4-5 hours to program participation This includes Monday morning accountability sessions, Info Bites and fortnightly Open Door sessions. Founders also get the most value from the program through active participation in other sessions as well, such as weekly catchups with the coaches, workshops and community events.

Every Monday, we'll be kicking off the week with a group accountability session to set out goals and intentions for the week, while social events run on Thursdays between 5.30pm to 7.30pm with many more in between.

RMIT Activator does NOT claim any IP rights in respect of an idea or startup. However, RMIT staff applying for LaunchHUB need to consult with RMIT Research and Innovation given that RMIT has ownership of intellectual property created by staff members in the course of their employment.

LaunchHUB in itself is an investment from the university that is worth $218,000 in support and resources. Hence, cash funding is not offered with the program.

However, RMIT Activator is a significant contributor for many Victorian accelerator programs such as Startmate, Skalata, SBE E3, ASTN, Medtech Actuator, Startupbootcamp and Antler. We are more than happy to help with our knowledge and network when you identify other funding opportunities.

LaunchHUB runs three times per year so support for your startup is never out of reach. Program dates for 2020 are:
