Our employer information sessions allow you to increase your organisation’s profile and connect directly with our students whilst promoting your recruitment programs to potential candidates.
Use your information session to:
- provide information about your organisation
- showcase your currently available and upcoming employment opportunities
- outline your application process
- share advice and application tips
- strengthen your brand on campus
- engage and network with a targeted group of students from relevant disciplines
- share expertise in your field.
If you can, bring a recent RMIT graduate who works for your organisation: students are inspired by hearing about our graduates’ successes and experiences.
You are welcome to organise catering - it adds value, particularly at evening sessions.
Our services include:
- organising a venue on campus in which to hold the information session
- promoting the event through CareerHub, targeted emails and social media
- video conferencing setup
These sessions can only be attended by RMIT University students. Student ID cards will be scanned upon entry to the venue.
Support your presence on campus by also lodging your job vacancies on CareerHub.
Session dates and times
Information sessions are held during teaching periods. We recommend holding your session during the first six weeks of each semester, as students are most active and on campus at that time.
- 11.30am–2.30 pm
- 4.30–6.30 pm
- 5–8 pm (networking events)
How to book
To book an information session please follow the steps below:
Log in or register for CareerHub and complete the Information Session booking form in the left-hand menu.
A RMIT staff member will email you confirming details within 3-5 business days.
Host your information session on campus and recruit our students.
N.B. There are a strictly limited number of information sessions available each semester and organisations are required to book well in advance. All bookings are subject to review and approval by the University.
Terms and conditions
Information sessions are subject to availability and are only for employers currently recruiting.
Bookings need to be made a minimum of 10 working days before the session date.
We recommended you book up to a month in advance to secure your spot. This free service is subject to availability and at RMIT’s discretion.
Catering can be supplied at your information session - please make arrangements directly with your chosen provider.
