The RMIT International Industry Experience and Research Program (RIIERP) is unique in Australia and places around 200 RMIT students a year at world-class businesses and institutions around the world.
The program provides a range of international opportunities to our students including work placements, final-year undergraduate projects, graduate traineeships, postgraduate research and postdoctoral fellowships.
Supervised by industry professionals, RIIERP participants complete six to twelve months placements, providing graduates with a “global passport” and giving them a head start on the international job market.
Participating companies highly value RMIT students, over 90% rating our students’ abilities as ‘excellent’.
Currently, there are 165 international companies across 17 countries that support RIIERP, opening up their workplaces and contributing around $2 million each year in student allowances.
Our partners include such respected names as Airbus, EADS, Bentley Motors, the Siemens Group, Nestle, McQuay, Robert Bosch, Volkswagen, BMW, and the Rolls-Royce Group in Europe and North America.
The RIIERP Global Industry Advisory Board (GIAB) helps to shape and develop the program. Board members have included senior executives from: Coles Myer, ABB Australia, Tyco International, Goethe-Institute Inter Nations, Boeing, GKN Aerospace Engineering, and BASF Australia Ltd.
RMIT's International Industry Experience and Research Program (RIIERP) offers you the chance to do a paid internship with global companies and businesses in Europe, Asia and the USA.
